This is the thrid post in the "Earn more with Google Adsense series". Till now, we have discussed about the types of ads, how many ads can be placed on your webpage and what are the best Ad placement techniques for your blog or websites.  

Now lets see what can we do to generate more Revenue from your Ads. 

It is all a matter of good content I would say... Of course as a blogger you might always be on a look out for ways to improve your blog traffic and you yourself might be following certain blogs to get inspiration on what your next post will be.

Things you should take care of : 

1. Quality Content : This depends on your niche, meaning , what your blog offers or what your blog is about . It is always good to have a certain style and topic on which you blog. In my case, this is a tech blog. But the problem here for me is that  Technology is a very broad topic. I post a wide variety of things on different topics few might say it is just random. Yes and I agree to it . Having a niche like posting only about apps , phones, travel , food actually helps you gain more readership. Automatically, you will have recurring users to your website or blog. This can help you to earn some money from Affiliate programming (More on this later some day. Subscribe if you don't wish to miss this out) 


2. Keywords : One of the most important things about getting a position in the top search results on Google is to use the right keywords. Selecting the right words in your posts makes it more easy show the corrects ads on your blog. This is very important in case of ranking and simultaneously indexing. So the next time when a user performs a google search about your niche it increases you chances to improve the your rankings in the search results.

3. Backlinks : Backlinks are the links that link back to your website/blog. To have great and quality backlinks from good websites improves your Page Rank. The Page Rank has a scale of 0 to 10. Higher PageRank -> Better position in search -> More Traffic to your blog -> Higher Bid from advertisers for your ads -> More Money ! Sound's Simple? 


4. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) :  If you take care of the above 3 points then you have already taken care of most of the things important for search engine optimization.

How to place Adsense Ads on your page - Earn more with Google Adsense [Part 2]

In the previous post above we discussed about the various types of google Adsense ads you can use on your website / blog.

Okay so now once you have read the above post I guess we are now ready to discuss about the ads placement on your web page.

There's a restriction on the number of ads you can place on a single web page. Obviously these restrictions are put by Google in order to ensure quality of the webpage and to avoid unnecessary spamming.

How many ads can you use?

1. 3 Display/Text Ad units : If you look at this blog you can see I use in all 3 banner ads One above the title of the post , one in the sidebar and one inside the post!   The most important thing to improve you earning is to place at least 1 Ad somewhere in between your posts. What happens here is while your users are reading the posts they will actually look at the ad as it is between the text they are reading. Naturally, it is more likely if the ad is relevant it might get clicked.



2. 3 Link units : Most bloggers don't know that in addition to the above three ads you can use other 3 link units on the same page. It adds greatly to your earnings if the keywords that show up are relevant. 



3. Custom Search Engine Ads : This is ads do add up to your earnings but I am a bit skeptical about it as users generally don't use the search on relatively small blogs. This is mainly important for people who have a large active readership o their blog/website.

Thus, in addition to the custom search engine ads you can add a total of 6 Google Adsense ads on a single webpage or each page of your website. Sound's cool ?

Google Adsense 101 - Earn more with Google Adsense [Part 1]

Its been quite a long time since I started using Google Adsense on my Blog. I would like to share with you my experiene and how you can use Google Adsense Ads more efficiently. In this "Google Adsense 101" series you will find the useful tips and tricks using which you can optimize your Google Adsense earnings.

I will cover almost all the things you need to take care to increase your CPC ( Cost Per Click) for Ads.
I will break this into multiple posts and will try to post new articles every alternate day. ( Can't promise :P )

Lets get started... The first thing you will need to do is decide what type of ads to use?

There are three types of ads :

• Display / Text Ads
• Link Units
• Ads using Custom Search

Lets Cover each one of them : 

1.  Display / Text Ads : Display ads are nothing but Image ads or Banners which is most probably the most common an all the sites. May be you must be seeing one right now in this post too or in the right sidebar of this blog and above this posts heading. You should select Display / Text while creating the ad unit as it gives more fill rate. So whenever one type of ad is not available the other type of ad maybe Text takes its place. Doing this makes sure that your ad unit will show some or the other ad no matter what. Hence you do not miss out on even a single click on your ads.

2.  Link Units : Link Units are ones which show only a set of 4-5 keywords which are basically ad link and when clicked you earn from them just like the below one. Don't go by their size ,even though these tiny units are not so visible but they sometimes generate more revenue sometimes then the image ads. ( I am not lying! Try it out)




3.  Custom Search Ads : Monetize search results in your site, mobile site or mobile application just like Google. This for pro-bloggers. We will get back to this in the later posts of this series.
